Hiraman Game Plan

Hiraman's Game Plan
Week 2 application
11/6/13

Everyday teachers develop a lesson plan or game plan on what they are going to do during a lesson in class.  During this application I will be discussing my game plan are two indicators from international society for technology education or ISTE-NET-T and set goals for strengthening my confidence and proficiency.

Goal#1:  "Teachers design, develop, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessment incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the NETS·S" (ISTE-NET, 2008, p.1).

Goal: Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity.

Action:  The action I would take is getting ideas from my educational specialist, other teachers, and principal to discuss some possible options for my class in the 21st century.  I am hoping to learn of information that will make my classroom more interesting through the use of digital tools.

Monitor:  Once the action is ready to go I will use it in the classroom and after class I will evaluate my experience with conducting this learning experience.  This will be done by using questions:  Do I think the classroom enjoyed the project?  Will this experience help them achieve higher learning progress in school?  Is there a need to change my creative experience or does it need to be changed?  I will also monitor with recorded data from student performances after getting the lesson.

Evaluate:  Even with all of the constant updating in technology it is important to evaluate the actions to see if everything is working.  This will be done by observation of me.  I will be making sure the lesson is implemented and if something is wrong I can give constructional criticism and find our what is the issue with the plan.

Goal 2:  "Teachers exhibit knowledge, skills, and work processes representative of an innovative professional in a global and digital society" (ISTE-NET, 2008 p.1).

Goal: For this lesson to be effective I must be able to Communicate relevant information and ideas
effectively to students, parents, and peers using a variety of digital age media and formats.

Action:  To make sure this is effective I would want to set up a parent teacher conference and speak to the parents during that day and make sure we have a plan and going forward with their child  in the 21st century.

Monitor:  I will monitor by being the spokesman and listening to other people input as well as questions or concerns during this plan.  Also the different parties will be able to communicate the different issues with the plan.

Evaluate:  This will be evaluated with a evaluation for to which the parents, peers will have the opportunity to express their feelings about the plan and give feed back that will help me come up with the best plan for both parties.
